Otherworldly & the Past

Taking group up to the Eastern Sierra's in California is always a treat. How often we take for granted the many treasure we have close proximity access to within a 3 or 4 hours drive from the SF Bay Area. I love this part of the high country as it affords clean fresh crisp air with a the ability to exhale and just enjoy the calm serene surroundings. Ommmm ...

The group waiting for sunset

I encourage participants to further the outdoor experience in a civilized environment at a local campground in the quaint town of Lee Vining. The grounds are complete with running water for toiletries and even shower amenities - I guess you'd call it more like 'Glamping' than actual camping (aka glamour camping).

The prize ...

Out early in the pre-dawn darkness chasing the rising sun, napping and photography discussion midday while we wait for the next landscape photography time of day, sunset - be it along the lake or in Bodie Ghost Town. We even have a bit of fun light painting through the night under the moon, new moon or Milky Way, whichever we're focusing on on any particular outing.

I encourage day & night captures for varied looks.
